Take-Two Interactive is suing Chicago's transit authority for breaching their contract by removing GTA IV bus shelter ads without explanation.
The lawsuit was filed in Manhattan federal court, accusing the transient authority of "violating Take-Two's free speech and contractual rights".
According to Take-Two, Chicago's transit authority violated a $300,000 ad campaign agreement that included running GTA IV poster ads on the sides of buses and transit display spaces throughout the Chicago transit system scheduled for six weeks between April and June.
Take-Two is asking the court to order the transient authority to run the ad campaign and pay them monetary damages of at least $300,000.
Miami's transit authority has also pulled off GTA IV bus shelter ads but Take-Two didn't sue them yet. Take Two might be taking their time, or Miami's Transit Authority might have their have reserved the right to pull off the ads in their contract.
